While investigating the viability of this project, I approached BT for Internet Leased Lines in this area. This is within the UK to avoid any confusion, in a major city. The location will become clear later.

Absolutely astounded at their offering I then asked for a re-quote for a 2Mb/s leased line to the same location. Bear in mind this location is less than one mile from the city centre exchange!

You can have 2MB access with a 2MB port ( obviously no room for growth )

I have to say I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that you can have a BT Leased Line, 2Mb/s less than 1 mile from a major City Centre telephone exchange for a little short of £800 per month plus a £3,600 setup cost.
